Are you interested in how buildings, transport hubs and major infrastructure projects are designed and delivered? The Mace Construct Careers in Construction Programme offers Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of the construction and built environment sector.
Over four days, you'll learn about the wide range of careers available in the industry, meet professionals working across different disciplines, and discover the skills employers are looking for.
What you'll do
During the programme, you will:

Learn about careers in construction and the built environment

Take part in interactive workshops and presentations

Meet current apprentices and trainees

Network with professionals from across the industry

Visit a live construction project site

Develop your employability skills and confidence

Gain experience that can strengthen future apprenticeship and job applications
Who can apply?
This opportunity is open to:

Students currently in Year 11 or Year 12

Young people with an interest in construction, engineering, architecture, surveying, project management or the wider built environment sector

Applicants with at least five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and Maths
Programme details
Dates: Tuesday 14 July to Friday 17 July 2026
Location: Moorgate, London, with a nearby project site visit
Participants must be available to attend all four days and live within a reasonable travelling distance of central London.
Lunch will be provided each day and reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
